Brief:
Al Rajhi Bank, one of the largest Islamic banks in the world, started its activity in 1957. Al Rajhi Bank has more than 60 years of banking and business experience. The first branch of the bank was opened for men in the Deira district in Riyadh in 1957, while the first branch of women was opened in 1979 in the neighborhood of Shmeissi.
The year 1978 witnessed the merger of the various institutions under the name of Al Rajhi under one umbrella in Al Rajhi Banking and Trading Company. In 1988, the bank was transformed into a Saudi joint stock company.
